The PawNerd Sims Show is coming back!

Hello!

So it has been a few months that I have not streamed. I have been trying to make the live stream work with the website but have had no joy. It will have to be the socials which I wasn't very keen on to begin with, because of big data but I am beat. I can't make it work with the tech I have.

If you don't know what I'm on about, The PawNerd Sims Show is a livestream I was doing earlier where I used game play and simulated animals to spark conversations about real life animals. It's less heavy than real life and a bit whimsical because games rarely reflect real biology. For examples Turtles never nest but they hatch automatically in the Sims 4. This is becasue Island Living already came inflated with a lot of content and it has never been included in an update. Not even a mod has done this. Another reason I have paused, for those who weren't around, is the whole dilemma with showcasing a game that has problematic interactions involving punishment, rewards without associating, poor reward timing, just bad training practice altogether and it makes my heart sink every time. Then there is the problematic associations to regimes and political movements. I might be a gamer but I do not own a variety of games with animals because gaming is a fraction of what I like to do. So I only had the Sims 4 to simulate animals in any gaming setting. I say has because Planet Zoo was recently in sale so I had to get it as I have wanted to cover wildlife builds and welfare management. The good news is that Paralives has launched in early access and will eventually have cats and dogs. So what we'll do is fewer Let's Plays, more Let's Builds and you get to see me completely miss the thing I am meant to do in Planet Zoo because it is soooo complicated. And sson as we can get some pets in Paralives I hope it will be everything my pet behaviorist heart wants interaction wise. Please Alex Massé, pretty please!

So I will be back on the wires or actually live on Twitch and Facebook later uploaded to youtube as soon as I can establish a schedule for that. Im thinking one a week so it's a proper deep dive but I am open to suggestions. After all a live stream needs its audience.

As for the topics, I have a few I really want to do soon like Sea Turtle nesting Sims 4 vs Reality, testing the effect of explosions on cats and dogs in the Sims 4 casue we kinds need to talk further about that fireworks factory. I need to improve the floow Veterinary Hospital build and test again in Let's play becasue its shiny and slippery. Or maybe I can put my foot in my mouth starting with a build of my first wildlife habitat in Planet Zoo. We'll see. If there is any pet or animal welfare related topic you'd like to see a deep dive on, I would love to hear about it. I do want to find a way to cover livestock wihtiut buying Sims DLC so game suggestions for simulated livestock, again, let me know.
