Welcome to the part of the site where things get quite loud, a little messy, and unapologetically educational. This is the platform they hoped I would never build. Who's they? All those who wish the truth would just hide out of sight or I would stop being less opinionated about it.

This blog is rooted in animal welfare—but it doesn’t stop there. Because the systems that harm animals are the same ones that harm people. They’re built on exploitation, silence, and convenience. And if we’re serious about change, we have to talk about all of it.

So yes, you’ll find posts here about pet behaviour, trauma-informed handling, enrichment, and training. But you’ll also find rants about:

• The politics of care

• The economics of exploitation

• The way systemic injustice shows up in shelters, homes, and policy

• And sometimes, the global nonsense that makes it harder to do this work with integrity

This blog will stray. It will wander into climate, race, gender, and governance. It will interrogate the tools we use, the language we inherit, and the systems we’re complicit in. And then it will come right back to the animals—because they’re at the heart of it all.
